FAQs
What age group are the lessons suitable for?
My lessons are designed for young beginners, typically aged 4 years old and up. The Encore on Keys Junior Series and Whole Body Learning approach are perfect for children starting their musical journey.
Does my child need any prior experience?
Not at all! The program is tailored for beginners, and I use fun, interactive methods to ensure every child feels confident as they learn.
How many children are in each class?
Each group is kept small, with a maximum of 6 students, ensuring that every child receives individual attention while also benefiting from the social and collaborative aspects of group learning.
What happens during a typical lesson?
Lessons are engaging and varied, combining activities like singing, clapping, playing the piano, percussion instruments and games. These activities develop key musical skills such as rhythm, pitch recognition, and finger coordination.
Do I need to provide a keyboard or piano at home?
Yes, having a keyboard or piano at home is important for practice. I can recommend affordable options if you’re unsure where to start.
What happens if my child misses a lesson?
Missed lessons due to sickness or other reasons are forfeited, as we cannot offer make-up sessions for group classes.
How do I pay for lessons?
Lessons are $35 per week, and fees are payable monthly via direct debit. This ensures a simple and hassle-free payment process.
Are materials included in the lesson fee?
No, the materials are purchased separately.
How can I help my child practice at home?
Regular, short practice sessions are key. Encourage them to play what they learned in class, and make practice a fun and positive experience. I’ll also provide guidance on what to focus on each week.
When can I enrol my child?
Enrolment is open year-round, but spots are limited to keep classes small. Contact me early to secure a spot for your child.
What makes your program unique?
I combine the proven Encore on Keys Junior Series with Whole Body Learning which makes a hands-on, interactive teaching method that ensures children learn in a fun and engaging way.
